WHY EGYPT ?
Egypt (The Arab Republic of Egypt), with its population of 70 million people, is the second largest developing market of Africa continent following Nigeria. Due to the preferential trade agreements signed with the Arabic countries and some of the African countries surrounding it and the Partnership Agreement signed with the EU, it is a center of attraction in economical and commercial terms.
WHY STONE AND STONE TECHNOLOGIES FAIR?
Egypt, which has rich mineral deposits, cannot reach the desired levels of production due to technological insufficiencies. Therefore, the business of mining and stone quarry has a significant market potential on the machinery, equipment and spare parts related with production technology.
Marble, decorating stones, limestone, clay and coal are the mines produced in Egypt. A significant increase has been realized in the exportation of processed marble in Egypt where there is a continuous increase in exportation of block and plate marbles.
Most important importation units of Egypt are block and plate marbles, magnesite, aluminum ore essences and concentrations and coal. It is envisaged that several marble types not present in the country, and block, plate and processed marbles may be exported into Egypt.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE FAIR
Stonex 2005, which will be held in Cairo, capital city of Egypt, on December 15-18, 2005, is organized by General Organization for International Exhibitions and Fairs (GOIEF), Forum Egypt, Forum Fairs and Promotions Co. Inc. and with the support of Egyptian Marble and Granite Association.
The Fair, which will take place in the Cairo International Fair Ground in Nasry City, 20 minutes distance from the Cairo International Airport, will be realized on a total area of 4000 square meters in 2 halls and open area. Visiting hours of the Fair will be from 10.00 till 19.00.
The Fair will be introduced in the neighboring countries and other African countries via television, radio, newspapers and billboards. The Fair will be actively announced to the associations and the chambers related with the sector in Egypt, and it will be ensured to bring visitors to the Fair from the other cities of Egypt and the neighboring countries.

EXTRA MATERIALS AND SERVICES
The goods and services (television, video, computer, additional construction, plant and decoration material, air, tree-phase power, refrigerator, translation, etc.) to be demanded except from the ones included in the fair participation fee will be provided upon payment.
SPECIAL STAND DESIGNS
Design shop, a subsidiary of Forum Co. Inc., will be glad to meet special stand design and construction demands of participants

PARTICIPANTS CATALOGUE
The Participants Catalogue will be in 12 x 21 cm dimensions, printed on color glossy paper and prepared in English. Any company, which wishes to give advertisements in the Catalogue to be distributed to the participants, professional visitors and to the related institutions in Egypt as well as to the representations, may do so by paying the related cost.
